Raised in Banyuwangi and trained in Dutch literature at the University of Indonesia, Wisnu Surya Pratama honed his eye amid street‑art collectives that exposed social rifts and folk myths. He sees filmmaking as sustained empathy: observing, recording, then shaping images into bridges of dialogue. For him, the camera is a moral compass.

Marsiti (15) is a girl who dreams to win the bulls race. As her mom wanted to sell the bulls inherited by her late father to Haji Roni, his father's competitor, Marsiti took the bulls to Sumber Agung where the race was big and the price was high. The problem is there has never been a woman jockey in any bulls race in the world.
